Where does she get it from?

Violet has informed me that she is planning to have 5 babies someday.  All of them at the same time.  And she has 3 of the names already picked out.  Wait for it...

1.  Brenna

2.  Skak-a-luke

3.  Nappy

I think that Skak-a-luke is my favorite.


Brenna, meanwhile, has a lot going on.  She is eating solids!  So far she has had rice cereal, bananas, green beans, plums, peas, butternut squash, Cheerios, and banana puffs.  Next up will be apples and sweet potatoes. 

She is able to get up on all fours now, but the forward momentum is still missing.  In fact, she seems to move farther and farther away from what she is trying to reach!  I bet we will be babyproofing soon!

The First!

Violet was talking to me the other day, and I realized what a gem of a conversation I was having with her.  Then I realized, unless I write this down somehow, I will never remember the specifics about this!  So voila!  Here is my attempt to keep a record of all the fun activities, witty one-liners, and beautiful pictures that go along with our day to day lives.  Hope you all enjoy the ride!
